As of late, nothing new has been happening on the scene, which appears to be well....dead. Some people have considered staging an anime showing for Cape Town fans, however our lack of venue, energy and lack of ideas from other fans means it won't happen quickly. 

We may see a LOCAL premiere of Metropolis. As it happens, March sees the US cinema premiere of Metropolis. It should logically follow that the movie should trickle down here too.

Sci-Fi ends off Saturday Night Anime showings: From mid January 2002,
Sci-fi will be discontinuing the Saturday night animes. Instead, Lexx will be shown
in the 0:00 time slot. Despite this all, you can still catch childrens' programming such as Pokemon and Digimon (Yeah Right!).
